Chloris was a Goddess (or according to different roots - Nymph) associated with spring, flowers and new growth. Her Roman equivalent was the Goddess Flora. She was abducted by (and later married to) Zephyrus, the west wind, who gave her dominion over spring. Together they had a son, Carpus. Carpus means "fruit" in Ancient Greek, and the natural metaphor formed by the three can be seen in the following quote: "Zephyros... the personification of the West Wind which brings with it freshness and rain in the spring. He would unite with Chloris, goddess of the new vegetation, from which sprout the fresh fruits of the soil ."

It is necessary to grant ancient Greeks, that all their myths were really logical. Really I am admiring them incredible directly knowledges, about the connection cause and effect. Myth about the marriage of Chloris and the Zephyr, is confirming it, once again :)

In Roman mythology, Flora was also, a goddess of flowers and the season of spring. While she was otherwise a relatively minor figure in Roman mythology, being one among several fertility goddesses, her association with the spring gave her particular importance at the coming of springtime. Chloris's festival, Floralia, was celebrated on April 28 to May 1 until the 4th century, and symbolized the renewal of the cycle of life, marked with dancing, drinking, and flowers.

Since in my garden, already the first flowers are starting appearing, this picture is very much "on the time".

Welcome Spring!

As the cold wind starts, and the spring rain falls, I see you picture and the story below, and it fits. Thanks for the smile so early on a cold wet spring morning. Yes, the daffadills are up here. -P
In my country, today a beautiful sun is shining and there is a warmth very much. This year almost it wasn't at us winters. And the spring came to Poland, already the month ago. It is the warmest winter for 300 years. Normally at this time of the year, the snow is still throughout the country.
All the more we are pleased, when so early, flowers are blooming in gardens and a spring singing of birds is heard :)

No i bardzo dobrze. :) Im mniej rozmazywania tym lepiej. Jak już wejdzie Ci w krew dobre wycinanie i łączenie to wtedy można zacząć sobie eksperymentować.
Jej skóra mogłaby być trochę jaśniejsza. :)
